Nangarhar Rose is known to be one of the rarest, finest, and most sought-after rose oils in the world. Coming from the soil rich fields of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, it's no surprise it's a top contender. The rich soil, zero pollution, zero chemicals, fresh water, and high altitude all contribute to why this rose is considered the best available in the world.

After smelling many high quality Taifi rose oils, as well as Turkish, Bulgarian, and Indian varieties, the Nangarhar rose always took the top spot for me. It's the crème de la crème of rose aromas pristine, radiant, and refined. It took a long 3 year wait to finally get my hands (and nose) on this oil.

One of the issues I faced was getting the oil out of Afghanistan to the UK due to logistical issues, as well as buying in a much smaller quantity than what is usually offered. After slow and steady communication with the distillery, my waiting finally paid off, and the oil arrived in the UK by hand. Each magical 3g bottle contains roughly 15kg worth of rose petals, distilled with a labour of love, where so much work goes on behind the scenes to produce the end result.

After a 3 hour drive to collect the oil from a friend, the first thing he said was, "The oil is sealed, and my living room smells like heavenly roses!" The oil has a light yellow tint, and from the dipstick, this is a potent and powerful oil one small dot is enough to envelop you in a cloud of roses!

Once applied, the oil lets off a powerful tsunami of blossoming rose flowers, as if one was covered in rose petals. There's an element of crystal like zestiness followed by a rich, deep creaminess with wisps of light, gentle smoke and a slight woodiness. There's a special aura around this oil, and it just doesn't stop projecting. The seductive aroma lasts for hours and is a real delight to smell not just for you but for those around you also. Absolutely stunning!

This is a very limited batch of oil, and I'm not sure if/when I'll be able to offer it again. It's definitely one for all rose lovers a warm, powerful, seductive scent that's a must have in every collection and perfect for using in blends or wearing pure.
